Congratulations to Simon Belokowsky upon winning the 2016 Distinguished Scholar Prize from the Association for the Study of Eastern Christian History and Culture (ASEC)! Simon was honored with this award for his translation of Elena Marasinova’s “Punishment by Penance in 18th-Century Russia: Church Practices in the Service of the Secular State,” Kritika: Explorations in Russian and Eurasian History 17, no. 2 (Spring 2016): 305–332.
