Students from the MAGIC program in Rome.

MAGIC students studying in Rome during the summer.

M.A. students Lisa Moynihan, Susan Peavy, and Alison Vanna were among those who enrolled in The Ancient City of Rome, a study-travel course taught by History Professor Tommaso Astarita and Classics Professor Josiah Osgood.  The class traveled to Rome for two weeks to study the city’s archeology and museums in person, making side trips to the imperial port of Ostia and the city of Pompeii.  Upon their return to D.C., MAGIC students completed a research assignment based on their studies.
