Congratulations to Professor Jim Shedel
Professor Jim Shedel is the author of two recently published articles. The first, “Monarchy, Image, and Authority: France and Austria on the Eve of Revolution,” appears in a Festscrhift volume in honor of Dr. Gernot Heiss (Über die österreichische Geschichte hinaus, edited by Friedrich Edelmayer, Margarete Grandner, Jiri Pesek and Oliver Rathkolb, Verlag: Aschendorff Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, Münster, 2012).
The second is a Slovenian translation of Professor Shedel’s “Imperial
Civics: Three Emperors and the Pursuit of Happiness.” It appears in the journal Zgodovinski Casopis Historical Review 3-4.146 (2012): 344-360. Both of these publications are available at the front of the department.
